A mouth full of cornflakes, wide eyes glued to the back of the cereal content box and the 7 O’ clock news bulletin playing loudly in the background. I would say it was at this instance round the break into the millennium, where the trouble all started and I was seduced by the power of the pen and courted into this life time affair with words. I decided there and then I wanna be a writer. While spending 3months in Brazil on a gap year camping out for endless hours on the cold floor in the Sao Paulo airport, waiting for the bus to arrive, a strange young chap ambushed me with an unexpected interview and said he was a reporter. Feeling slightly violated and uneasy at first, I gradually grew comfortable and found myself pondering what life must be like in the shoes of a reporter. There you have it, an insight into a world I would soon discover. It’s as though it was fate destined to tantalize my taste buds for the world of journalism and writing. I am a journalist graduate of 2010 and currently furthering my studies in marketing communications at the University of Johannesburg.

I have had the opportunity to work side by side with Oliver Roberts from the Sunday Times and did some roving reporter work Chris Onderstall for FNB Shine 2010. I am tech savvy and love the latest gizmos and gadgets, glamorous shiny thingy’s and have an obsession with Nokia’s new N-series range.
